Underwriting & Processing Timelines*
The Bancorp Bank, N.A. (“Bancorp”) is solely responsible for underwriting and credit decisions.
- Credit decisions are typically rendered within 3–5 business days.
- Please allow 10–15 business days for full processing of individual, joint, and trust applications.
- Business entity applications may require up to 30 business days.
If funds are required by a specific date, please advise at the time of submission. Expedited closings may be accommodated when possible.
*Timelines are estimates; actual time may vary depending upon circumstances and information needed to make a credit decision.
Approved Loans
If approved:
- The Lending Team will coordinate directly with the borrower to confirm closing and funding instructions.
- Loan documents are mailed to the borrower with instructions for signature, notarization (if required), and return.
- Upon booking, the borrower will receive separate communications containing login credentials and instructions for accessing their account at www.ftlending.com.
If checks are selected at application:
- Standard check orders and reorders (single or duplicate checks) are provided at no cost.
- Alternate check styles are available with a $15 courtesy discount.
- Checks are generally delivered within 7–14 business days after receipt of executed loan documents.

Declined Applications
If a loan request is declined:
- Bancorp will notify the borrower directly and issue a written Adverse Action Notice stating the reason(s) for denial.
- Financial Professionals will be informed of the decision; however, regulatory requirements prohibit Bancorp from disclosing specific details.
